What is the Compliance Testing Program?
The Compliance Testing Program developed by United Parcel Service of America and Tescom, helps comply the Vendor applications, with UPS branding and application requirements, including UPS logos, UPS trademarks, and UPS services.
Who is Tescom?
Tescom is an independent Quality Assurance Consulting firm, founded in 1990. Tescom has over 400 employees worldwide specializing in Quality Assurance Consulting, Functional Testing, Performance Testing, Usability Testing, Security Testing and Configuration Management.
What is the Legal Agreement?
The legal agreement is a binding contract between Tescom and the Vendor, which allows Tescom to independently conduct compliance testing on their application. The legal agreement is agreed to during the Application Testing Profile submission process.
How do I receive my login credentials?
Please email Tescom at UPSTests@TescomUS.com. We’ll be happy to create new log in credentials for you or send your existing ones.
Will my password expire?
Yes, your password will expire after 90 days. To change your password after expiration, you will need to contact Tescom.
What is Submission Criteria?
The Submission Criteria is a checklist used by Tescom prior to commencing compliance testing. You may view the submission criteria by clicking here.
What is the purpose of the Application Testing Profile?
The purpose of the Application Testing Profile is to acquire information regarding minimum hardware and software requirements necessary for installation and use of your application. The Application Testing Profile is required prior to submitting your application. You are required to submit one Application Testing Profile per application submission.
When do I submit my Application Testing Profile?
Tescom requests you submit your Application Testing Profile approximately two (2) weeks before submitting your application. This information will help facilitate the process for setting up the hardware and software required by your application.
How do I know if Tescom received my application?
A member of the Tescom Compliance Testing Team will contact you once we have received your application.
How do I communicate User Interface changes to Tescom during Compliance Testing?
During compliance testing, the main method of communication will be e-mail and phone. If the interface change impacts compliance testing severely, please contact Tescom immediately. Also, provide clear documentation of the interface change and send your updated application to Tescom.
What is the timescale to complete the testing?
Time taken to complete the testing varies due to the complexity of the application under test, availability of developers to fix issues found and complexity of issues found. Compliance is usually achieved in 10 - 15 business days which assumes a round of testing takes approximately 5 days,the likelihood of 2 rounds and time for remediation efforts.
How do I know if my application Passed or Failed Compliance Testing?
During the compliance testing process, all non-compliant issues will be referred back to the Vendor for correction. Once resolved and verified, an acceptance notice will be issued. Non resolution of issues will be discussed and may result in a failure of the compliance testing.
